Landmark Engineering was founded in 1987 by a group of five professional engineers possessing considerable civil and site engineering experience. Since then the company has prospered and continued to grow while providing professional quality surveying, engineering, planning, and design services for civil and site engineering projects. The firm’s staff is comprised mainly of graduate and registered professional engineers, surveyors and CADD technicians.
The firm provides site engineering and survey services including site capacity analysis, schematic design, design development, construction documents, cost estimates and assistance in obtaining approvals and permits. We specialize in:
- Municipal Planning
- Land Planning
- Surveying & Engineering Design
- Permits & Agency Processings
- Construction Phase Support Services
- Certified Construction Reviewer Services
Engineering disciplines available include topographic surveys, site engineering, grading and drainage, hydraulic analyses and design, streets and entrances, sanitary and storm sewer utilities, erosion and sediment control plans, and supporting structural design.
Survey crews are equipped with EDM Total Station, Leica Robotic Total Station/Data Collector systems, and Leica SR20 a handheld GIS-quality GPS system. The design staff is supported by state of the art computer and software facilities including high-end workstations and wide-format plotters with color potential and a wide-bed scanner. Forty-one of the workstations support Autodesk Civil 3D 2007 software, and four workstations support MicroStation V8 and Inroads software. Landmark is among the largest specialist firms of its type in the region.
Each project is under the direct management of a principal of the firm. Project scope, direction, and technical content are the responsibility of that principal. Each principal can call on additional senior staff for assistance, and has ready access to a support staff of experienced civil designers, survey technicians and CADD operators. This procedure insures a functional and cost effective product within the time and budget criteria established with the client. Quality control is the responsibility of a second non involved principal.
