The site engineer's duties include some or all of the following:
  • Topographic and perimeter surveys
  • Determination of easements, code requirements, and other legal restrictions
  • Delineation of wetlands, flood plains, and other environmental considerations
  • Subsurface investigations
  • Assistance in land planning as requested
  • Preparation of record plan including signing and sealing
  • Assistance at public hearings, council meetings, rezonings, etc.
  • Attendance at team meetings
  • Traffic impact studies
  • Interface with technical review agencies
  • Preparation, submission, and follow-up on required site work permits
  • Preliminary and final design including grading and drainage, stormwater management,
    e&s plans, sanitary and storm sewers, streets, entrances, parking, and related site items
  • Coordination of landscaping plans
  • Selection and direction of specialty subconsultants
  • Preparation of construction cost estimates
  • Preparation of construction documents and assistance during bidding
  • Construction phase services
